Cute Box out of Popsicle Sticks

Hi there,

Today I am sharing an easy peezy Diy with all of you. It's a four steps DiY box.

Things you need:

1- Popsicle Sticks.
2- Scrapbook paper.
3- Glue Gun.

1. Join 4 popsicle to make a frame. You will need 5 such frames.
(Tip : You can join more sticks to get more durability. )

2. Cut out 5 pieces of scrapbook paper.

3. Paste the paper on your popsicle frame. I used paper which had patterns on both sides.  I thought it made the box pretty inside out.

That's a view from the front.

4. My 5 frames all done. Now it's time to glue them to make a box shape.I added a lid too hut its optional.  Remember if you are adding a lid too. Make 6 frames. (4×walls + 1= base+ 1=lid)

Thats all. You can make this easy peezy box in less than 30 minutes.

Hope you like it.
Take care,
Naz

Zentangles Art DIY

Hey there

So today's project is a Doodling DIY and I didn't come up with this idea I found it here :
http://craftwhack.com/tiny-rotten-peanuts-top-10/

I tried it and it turned out really cool. If you hang it on your wall nobody will ever know how easy to make this one is. This form of art is known as "Zentangles". If you are unfamiliar with this term let me help you with a simple explanation : "Zentangles are miniature pieces of unplanned, abstract, black and white art created through a very specific Method from an ensemble of simple, structured patterns called tangles on a 3.5-inch (89 mm) square paper tile. Zentangles are not only exquisitely beautiful, they are fun and relaxing to create."

If you want to check more about Zentangles method and more patterns,  click this link http://tanglepatterns.com/zentangles/what-is-a-zentangle

Let's start with the project now.

I used a card stock but if you have a canvas it will definitely look more chick. The pens I used were of 3 types. One was a fine liner Pointer, the other a simple fibre tip pen and last one was a permanent and thick fibre tip pen.

That's how my finished one look. I am definitely going to try this on canvas soon with squares probably. I hope that this will give you some inspiration. If you are redecorating your room or if you have free time this one is the project for you.
Take care

End of School Year 2016

Hi there

It's 3rd June and this means that the Summer Vacations has started already.  Wow! After a long, busy and hectic year finally everyone can relax and enjoy late mornings.  I am doing the same thing.  Just relaxing and chilling out a bit.

This year had been full of fun with my students.  I learned quite a few new things and crafted more than the previous year.  Seriously crafting makes me happy. It's the one thing that I can count on when life decides to give me lemons. [:)]

So this post is about the cute felt owl which I made for my bulletin board and my year ending gift cards for my students. Lets have a look.

This is the bulletin board. I made the scholar owl with felt. The background is Crepe Paper and just because it was a bit empty I pasted Stars on it. Hope it will give you some inspiration.

That's my table. Notice the Mushroom House Mason Jar which I have already posted in this blog. The Large Pen holder is also made by me. I used burlap to cover it and some ribbons and felt flowers.

These were the gift cards I made for my students.  I printed their names on coloured paper and pasted on a Card stock.  I chose to gift them Pencils. These were very cute Pencils with charms. Some had stamps, some had whistles and so on. Then I made gift cards for them and I stamped some Disney characters on the Na Cards. I chose Mickey and Goofy for the boys and Minnie and Daisy for the girls.  The best part was writing down messages for each of them. They loved this little surprise.

That's all for today. Hope my post has given you some ideas. It's always good to share these little crafts.

Take care,
Naz
